Ireland Adventure Continues

Today we were hosted by the Dublin Club, which has the distinction of being the first club formed outside North American 100 years ago. In the afternoon we had our individual vocational visits, and I had the honor of visiting Dublin City University and Trinity College. In the evening we had the pleasure of being hosted by the Dublin club to an Italian dinner at the Manifesto Restaurant. We had a great time of food, drinks and conversation with our new friends--see all the happy smiling faces?
After our dinner the lights were turned low, the music was cranked up and we were treated to an incredible pizza dough tossing show. Tomorrow we will travel to Cork. We will miss Dublin, but have many fond memories.

A Grand Time in Ireland!!!

We finally made it on to the plane and it was one long trip!
we were getting sleepy...

..... but being in good company made it fun..

David managed to catch a few zzzzzzzzs....

We get off the plane at Heathrow Airport and after some delays, make it onto Air Lingus

When we arrived at Dublin, we were welcomed with open arms. Caroline, Verity and Paolo took us to the hotel and then to the best tasting Indian cusine (at 'The Jewel in The Crown' restaurant) that I have tasted - imagine that!! Right here in Ireland!

After a good night's sleep we had a refreshing morning walk!

We visited City Hall and the Dublin Castle too!

These are sand sculptures at Dublin Castle.

It was quite interesting to see the new buildings along side the old.

We ended our Saturday with a lovely meal at the Schoolhouse restaurant (which used to be an actual school) with Michael, Mary and her husband Conal. ...

GSE Ireland: Hour One

GSE Ireland - Hour One

Team Status: Noone is exausted and we are all getting along!

Well here we are at the Sea-Tac airport, which I just discovered is short for Seattle-Tacoma. We are currently one member down, but have just gotten word that she is en route and will arrive with time to spare. Our flight has been delayed an hour, but we have been assured that we will make our connection in Heathrow -provided that we run.

We have no shortage of technology on this trip, so we will be reporting in soon.

Team Ireland OUT!
